Are all your products certified organic?
Yes, ALLORGANIC® products are USDA Certified Organic.
What is the difference between all Natural, Organic and USDA Certified Organic?
While all Natural and Organic products are assumed to be minimally processed, made without harmful chemicals to support health and wellness and the environment, there is no guarantee that this is the case given that there are no rules or regulations for the labelling of natural product. They are non-certified. USDA Certified Organic on the other hand requires compliance and testing against rigorous criteria for both the raw materials and the facility manufacturing the certified organic.
Are these products certified organic under the Canadian Organic Standards?
Canadian Organic Standards currently do not have a category for cleaning products under their program, therefore it is not possible for ALLORGANIC® to be certified under the Canadian Organic Standard. The USDA Organic Certification Program does have a category for cleaning products and has been in place since 2009.
Do any of your products contain GMOs?
No, ALLORGANIC® products do not contain GMOs.
Are these products Non-GMO Certified?
As part of the criteria to be USDA Organic Certified, the raw materials must be Non-GMO certified to be included in the product therefore ALLORGANIC® products are all non-GMO; however the finished product is not Non-GMO Certified due to redundancy.
Do any of your products contain parabens?
No, ALLORGANIC® products do not contain parabens.
Do your products contain sulphates?
No, ALLORGANIC® products do not contain sulphates.
What is the difference between sulfates and sulphates?
Sulfate is the spelling recommended by IUPAC, but sulphate is used in British English.
Do your products contain carcinogens?
None of our ALLORGANIC® product ingredients are identified as carcinogens according to ACGIH, IARC, OSHA or NTP.
Do your products contain any synthetic ingredients?
No, ALLORGANIC® products do not contain synthetic ingredients.
Where do your ingredients come from?
One of the challenges of becoming USDA Organic Certified was sourcing raw materials that complied with the USDA criteria. This lead us all around the world including Nepal, China, United States of America, Mexico and the Mediterranean to source the caliber of ingredients desired for our line of ALLORGANIC® products. While some of our ingredients are sourced internationally, our products are manufactured in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
Are any of your ingredients treated with pesticides or chemicals during the growing process?
No, ALLORGANIC® products are derived from Certified Non-GMO raw materials, therefore there is no use of pesticides or chemicals during the growing process.
Are your products biodegradable?
Yes, ALLORGANIC® products are biodegradable. They are safe for both septic and greywater systems.
Do you test your products on animals?
No, ALLORGANIC® products are not tested on animals.
Are your products as effective as traditional cleaners?
ALLORGANIC® products are made from food grade ingredients in formulations that are very efficacious. Through 3rd party independent testing ALLORGANIC® products scored as well as most traditional and green certified products.
Are these products 100% Vegan?
ALLORGANIC® products are made from plant based products.
Where are your products made?
ALLORGANIC® products are made in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
What is the shelf life of these products?
We recommend these products be used within one year of purchase.
Do I have to store your products in any special way?
Please store in a safe area at room temperature. Do not freeze or heat over 30°C.
Is your packaging recyclable? Does your packaging contain recycled content or plant based materials?
Yes our ALLORGANIC® packaging is recyclable and contains up to 25% recycled content. It does not contain plant-based material. All of our packaging is BPA-free.
What does “full ingredient disclosure” mean?
Full ingredient disclosure means displaying every ingredient used in these products on the product label and resource material so there is full transparency about what is in the bottle. This is not a requirement of the USDA Organic Certification, however something we feel is important for our customers.
Why are some ingredients listed using their Latin name? Why don’t you just use everyday English?
By using the Latin name we identify the specific plant from which the ingredient is sourced. It ensures we clearly identify the ingredient. The common name is often listed adjacent, in brackets, to provide further clarity and also requirement by CCCR (Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations).
